The Banshee was first flown in March of 1952, and was outfitted with two J34 non-afterburning engines. The T2J Buckeye was initially flown in January of 1958 and used the same engine that's found its way into the frame rails of the Beast Jet Dragster.
The Westinghouse J34 jet engine was used to power a number of Navy Aircraft including the McDonnell F2H Banshee, the North American T2J Buckeye and the P2V-7 Naval Patrol Bomber.
